Are You Ready to Change the World? Compete for $100K in The Earth Prize to Tackle Eco Challenges!

August 23, 2024 - The Earth Prize

Are you between 13 and 19 years old and passionate about the environment? The Earth Prize is the world’s biggest environmental competition designed just for young people like you. But it’s more than just a competition – it’s an “ideas incubator” where you can turn your eco-ideas into reality with the help of mentors, cutting-edge resources, and the chance to win a share of $100K in funding.

This year, seven teams – one from each major region (Africa, Asia, Central & South America, Europe, Middle East, Northern America, Oceania) – will win $12,500 each to bring their ideas to life. Imagine being one of the Regional Winners, creating something that could change your community, your country, or even the world. And here’s the most exciting part: One of these seven teams will be crowned the Global Winner through a public vote, where your solution could inspire millions around the globe!

Since 2021, The Earth Prize has empowered over 10,000 young people in 154 countries and territories. Teams have created everything from tech-based solutions like team FloodGate’s flood prediction system, to unique inventions like team CocoMellow’s eco-friendly diapers made from banana fibers and coconut coir. These young changemakers have captured the world’s attention, and now it’s your turn. Your idea could be the next big thing!

Applications are open from 1 September 2024, 12:00 CET to 30 November 2024, 12:00 CET. Don’t miss out on this opportunity. Register now and get 1:1 mentoring from the moment you sign up. You’ll have everything you need to develop your solution, from expert advice to learning resources, all designed to help you make a real impact on the planet.

But don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what Rajas Nandas, a 2024 finalist, has to say: “The Earth Prize gives hope. It gives the possibility of making an impact because, otherwise, someone who’s 16 or 17 has no chance of really making much of a change if they aren’t given an opportunity. It’s an incredible feeling to know that your idea could actually make a difference.”

“The Earth Prize is unparalleled. The opportunities you’ll get from competing are just going to drive your passion and project to the next level. Our generation is sparking change, and I’m excited to see what we’ll do in the next twenty years,” said 2024 winning team FloodGate.

So, if you’ve got an idea that could help the planet, don’t wait. This is your chance to make a real difference, not just for today but for the future. Sign up here before 30 November. Let’s change the world together!
